Description
High quality Nagado with high quality workmanship and careful selection of materials. Traditionally tensioned cowhide skins with mimi (ears) gives the Taiko its typical Japanese look and makes re-tensioning possible. The very carefully dried body is made from individual pinewood staves glued together to make it resistant to deformation: This Taiko is stained with the signature reddish brown stain used by KAISER DRUMS and finished with a transparent varnish coat. Two Japanese handles (KAN) make the Taiko easy to transport and hang. Initially the drum produces a high clear sound which will slowly deepen and mature after a few years of even heavy usage.
